Hope After Child & Sibling Loss/the empty chair endeavor

A Conversation with Danielle Duffey, Blake's mom

The Empty Chair Endeavor Season 3 Episode 9

The death of a child is so heart wrenching that it often leaves parents feeling as though they might suffocate under the weight of the grief. We desperately want answers about why it happened. How do we process such trauma and begin to navigate through the grief when there are no answers? Join me as Danielle Duffey sits down and shares the story of losing her sweet, beautiful 17 month old son, Blake, to a very rare condition known as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). Unlike SIDS, this rare disorder strikes approximately only 1 of every 100,000 children aged 1 - 18 years, and without very much understanding of the condition. We hope you’ll listen as Danielle talks about how GOD has used journaling to help her process and navigate her now 7 year grief journey and experience healing along the way.
Danielle is currently the host of her own podcast, The Mission Mama, the author of Gratitude Through Grief A 90 Day Journey, available through Amazon and Etsy, an Ambassador for the SUDC Foundation, as well as having her own blog called Healing through Journaling: A Mother’s Journey of Rediscovery after Loss.
