An outreach of The Empty Chair Endeavor designed to support and equip survivors of child loss in rediscovering life, hope, and joy after unspeakable tragedy. Additionally, our mission involves educating the public about the life altering impact the death of a child has upon survivors, both parents and siblings, and equipping them to better support and minister to them. Join us as guests share their stories of heartbreaking loss and how God has shown up on their journeys to restore hope, meaning and purpose. The host, Greg Buffkin, lives with his wife Cathy in South Carolina. Because Cathy and Greg lost their beautiful son Ryan to suicide in 2015, they understand the trauma and pain of losing a child. On a journey that began 9 years ago out of unspeakable trauma and brokenness, GOD has brought them through to a place of restoration, hope and joy with a passion to help fellow survivors on their journeys.

A Conversation with Amy Sylvestre, Hudson's mom
What happens when unthinkable tragedy intersects our dreams, our plans, and our faith? We’re shattered, left in utter disbelief, a state where nothing seems to make any sense.
In this episode, Amy Sylvestre shares the story of her and her family’s journey from a heartbreaking diagnosis several weeks into her second pregnancy requiring a move from their home to a hospital hundreds of miles away. Born months premature, and with only 2 chambers in his heart, their son, Hudson would spend the next 9 months undergoing surgeries and treatment in the only home he would ever know. Transparent and, at times, raw, Amy is candidly honest about the impact of this journey, which sadly ended with Hudson losing that long battle for life, on her mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being. Listen as Amy shares how she found hope in her relationship with JESUS, and through the love and support of caring friends and family. Amy is now a gifted author, coach, and speaker who dedicates her life to helping others rediscover meaning, purpose and hope on their grief journey.
